The technical university of catalonia supports KRUCH with new calculations for EFS (Energy-Flow Simulation)

The aim of this collaboration is to develop the thermal model of the contact wire and it is integration in the Energy Flow Simulation software. The thermal model will provide information about so called “hot spots” (critical heat spots at the contact wire) so EFS will be able to simulate and prevent severe situations (like wire rupture) that would cause service interruption or danger to life.
