This Austrian development optimises both, the quality of the catenary chain as well as the life-cycle-costs of weight tensioning. Reduced friction takes effect positively on the accuracy, adjustability minimises the wear of the wire, optimum material combination spares the use of lubricants. In case of a wire-snap, the safety wheel locks and prevents the weight from falling down onto the tracks or a train-platform.
